And now that we're on the subject of food...
Here is a favorite recipe of mine called:
Witches Hats!
Makes approximately 4 dozen cookies.
Ingredients
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 large egg
2 tbsp. milk
48 milk chocolate kisses
How to make:
Heat your oven to 375°. Combine incredients except the candy kisses in a large mixer bowl. Mix on the lowest speed of the mixer until dough forms. Shape dough into balls, using a rounded teaspoonful for each. Roll balls in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Fill cookie
sheet.Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven.

Top each cookie with a candy kiss immediately.
